In the morning, I’m greeted by the comforting hum of the dehumidifier and the wafting fragrance from the aroma machine. As the cozy, yellow ambient lighting of the office creates soft shadows against the wall, I say hello to my lovely colleagues as they turn on some music – what a way to start the day! I begin with community management, replying to DMs and reposting stories. These interactions with other online users teach me how important it is to provide a sense of connection between the customers and the brand.
By afternoon, our stomachs signal that it’s time for lunch. The array of food choices around the office is both a blessing and a challenge – so many delicious options, yet so little stomach space! After minutes of walking around and attempting to push the responsibility of choosing a restaurant to one another, we usually manage to find something we all enjoy. It’s breaks like these that allow us to get to know one another better, share some laughs, and take a well-deserved rest before getting back to work.
Post-lunch, we jump into a meeting call with a client. My role is to diligently take minutes for the team to ensure we are all on track. Then, my manager usually assigns me content briefs to work on. After reading through a brief, I draft ideas and copies, which I then submit for approval. My manager then discusses what could be improved to better suit the brand’s voice, and I adapt the draft based on her feedback. This creative process is something I’ve come to love, as it allows me to explore new ideas and receive valuable feedback from my managers.
As evening approaches, the office gradually empties out, leaving a serene quietness. Unlike other days, today is different. The silence creates a bittersweet moment as I pack up to head home, leaving with a wealth of experiences and a deep appreciation for the opportunity to be a part of such a great team.
